The School of Economics and Management of Beijing
Forestry University (BFU)has experienced many difficulties
since Forestry Economics and Management was established as
a major area of study in 1959. It has suffered from changes
of venue and its operation was forced to stop during "the
Cultural Revolution".However,it has withstood these tests
and developed into the biggest school of the university, and
is noted for its broad study area, its increasing enrollment
and the persistent efforts of our pioneers of the past forty

The School of Foreign Languages is
the result of the university¡¯s drive to develop itself into
a multidisciplinary one. The English major (BA in English)
was inaugurated in 1986 and has been rated as ¡°Excellent¡±
in a recent assessment. The other programs include the Japanese
major (BA in Japanese), MA in General and Applied Linguistics,
and MA in English Language and Literature¡¡ |

The College of Science of Beijing
Forest University assumes the teaching task of the mathematical,
physical and chemical curriculums for the postgraduates and
undergraduates around the school, including two undergraduate
majors of "Electronics and Information Technology "
and "Mathematics and applied Mathematics", as well
as a master spot of biophysics. There are faculties of 70,
including 29 professors and associate professors, all of which
are good at teaching and most of which have won all kinds
of rewards, such as the rewards of Baogang, Huo Yingdong and
the eijing outstanding teachers. The College of Science now
contains 457 undergraduates and postgraduates, who have attained
a plenty of honour in multi-discipline competitions inland
and abroad, at the same time who play an important role in
the campus cultural life¡¡ |

As one of the key national universities directly
under the Ministry of Education in China, Beijing Forestry
University (BFU) is a comprehensive university characterized
by forestry, biology and forestry engineering, with well-coordinated
multi-disciplines of science, engineering, management, economics,
law and liberal arts. There are 50 specialties for undergraduates,
55 for Master candidates, and 33 for Doctoral candidates,
as well as 4 post-doctoral research centers. There are 20000
full-time students in the university in 2005.There are about
one thousand international students from 22 countries have
graduated from the university by 2005.The university provides
warm and friendly atmosphere for students from all over the
world to feel the Chinese culture, make friends and study. |
